Empowering Inclusive Play

From Toy to Accessibility Insight

How It Works

1.   Submit a Toy or Product

Toy companies, designers, and organizations connect with LaBeron Lab to discuss the product, intended users, testing goals, and areas where accessibility feedback would be most valuable.

2.   Match With Accessibility Play Testers

We select testers whose lived experiences and accessibility needs are relevant to the product. Testing may take place in a structured setting or remotely from home when appropriate.

3.   Real-World Play Testing

Testers interact with the toy as naturally as possible while evaluating areas such as packaging, setup, instructions, controls, grip, reach, sensory features, usability, engagement, and barriers to play.

4.   Document the Experience

Using structured evaluation tools, testers record what worked, what created barriers, and what could improve the experience. Feedback may include written observations, ratings, photos, or video when authorized.

5.   Accessibility Report

LaBeron Lab organizes the findings into a professional report highlighting accessibility strengths, barriers observed, and practical considerations for more inclusive design.

6.   Better Play Begins With Better Insight

The company can use the feedback during product development, redesign, or future innovation to better understand the experiences of people with disabilities.

What Our Testing Is — and Isn’t

LaBeron Lab provides disability-led accessibility and usability feedback based on lived experience. Our play testing does not replace engineering evaluations, regulatory product testing, laboratory safety certification, or other testing required by law.
